This upcoming March will see The New York Pops presenting a tribute to 007 at Carnegie Hall.

Scheduled for 8:00pm on Friday, 6 March is ‘The Music of James Bond’, a concert featuring themes from Dr. No, Goldfinger, The Spy Who Loved Me, GoldenEye and various other Bond films.

Carl Davis will conduct with featured vocals by Mary Carewe and Simon Bowman.

‘The Music of James Bond’ will take place at the Stern Auditorium (Perelman Stage). Tickets are priced between $29 and $100.

007 museum to open in Bregenz, Austria, to mark `Quantum of Solace` appearence

An Austrian town is to open a James Bond museum to mark its brief appearance in Quantum of Solace.

Local government officials say the museum will open in Bregenz on March 20 to celebrate the location's links with 007.

The museum will feature props from shooting and pictures and fact sheets for visitors.

Organisers said they wanted to give museum-goers an intense - behind the scenes - experience of the film.

One famous scene in the film involves the floating opera stage at Bregenz where Bond stalks his enemies during a performance of Tosca. The shot involved 1,500 extras.

Last year, MI6 reported that Franz Salzmann, Commercial Director of the Bregenz Festival, said that Bond bringing people to the opera for the first time was "a good sign". Salzmann added that if the production leave behind some props and costumes, a Bond exhibit may be set up at Festival House for future tourists.

The Vorarlberg town where key scenes of the last James Bond movie were shot is to have its own 007 museum - reports the Austrian Times.

Bregenz officials have created a permanent exhibit at the town’s Festspielhaus that opens on 20 March. Entry will be free of charge.

The museum will have props from the location where "Quantum of Solace" was shot last summer as well as pictures and fact sheets to provide an intense "behind the scenes" insight.

Other museum sections look back at the public viewing area for the European Football Championships in the town as well as the stage for the opera "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini that was the setting for seven minutes of Bond footage.

Vital scenes of the 22nd Bond flick – in which the main character, played by British actor Daniel Craig, discovers his enemies’ identities – were shot at the impressive stage on the shore of Lake Constance. A 250-strong team was on location for nine days of work last May.

AROUND BLACKHAWK: Women's gala is homage to James Bond

Inspired by 007 himself, the Blackhawk Women's Casino Royale Gala on April 18 will feature casinos and cuisines from various James Bond films.

"We're getting such a positive turnout," said Joy Tashjian, Blackhawk resident and event chairwoman. "We're having the fun of a casino night with movie locations and a great San Francisco band. It's a much more active environment. When the doors open, you can gamble all night, dance or just sit at your table with a James Bond martini and talk and eat."

When attendees arrive, they will receive a bag of gambling chips and their table assignment. Food stations featuring Indian, Italian and French cuisine will be open for much of the night, so people can eat when they feel like it instead of at a set time, Tashjian said. In addition to gaming, dinner and dancing, Bond films will be showing on multiple screens and just-for-fun trivia quizzes will be placed at each table.

Tashjian is a Hollywood producer who works on various NBC programs, including "Deal or No Deal," "The Biggest Loser," "Heroes" and "The Office." She said she was able to get a lot of actual props from Bond films through her contacts with MGM.

She and her committee of "Bond girls" decided on a different dress code than that of prior Blackhawk Women galas. Attendees can come attired in "James Bond chic," Tashjian said, (i.e., tuxes and gowns) or California casual (but no denim). Cocktails begin at 6:30

World Premiere Dance Program

Sean Connery may have given the world the iconic screen persona of secret agent James Bond, but composer John Barry provided the powerful, seductive sound that 45 years later still instantly evokes Agent 007.

Lincoln Park enjoyed a huge success last season when it choreographed an orginal program of dance and video to the music of Henry Mancini, selling out the mainstage theater and earning accolades from patrons.

Now, in another world premiere, the dance and media departments turn their attention to John Barry’s film scores, interpreting music from films such as Thunderball and Diamonds are Forever. His theme songs defined James Bond films from Dr. No through Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice.

Ballet du Bond will be offered in two evening shows on the mainstage theater, Friday and Saturday, March 27-28. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m., tickets are $20, $15 and $12, and go on sale Feb. 9.

Он приурочил открытие музея к 100-летию со дня рождения одного из отцов кинобондиады - знаменитого британского продюсера Альберта Брокколи, которое пришлось на 5 апреля.

В поисках экспонатов для своего детища Нельсон объехал немалую часть Земного шара и потратил на создание музея не одну сотню тысяч фунтов стерлингов личных средств.

Нельсон выкупил на аукционных торгах многочисленные аксессуары, использовавшиеся во время съемок картин о Бонде. Многие создатели киносериала не оказались в стороне и оказывали Питеру материальную поддержку.

«У меня есть Осьминог из «Осьминожки» и оригинальный экземпляр золотого пистолета из «Человека с золотым пистолетом». И еще я добыл автомобиль «Форд-Мустанг» из фильма «Бриллианты навсегда», - пояснил коллекционер.

Среди других автомашин, задействованных в съемках кинобондиады, в музее в Кезике также есть «Лотус Эсприт Турбо» из фильма «Шпион, который меня любил».

Одним из наиболее примечательных экспонатов музея стал советский танк Т-55, на котором Пирс Броснан разъезжал в фильме «Золотой глаз».

Calling all Young 007s! During the Easter holidays BFI will be running a training school at Southbank for any prospective secret agents, aged 10+. Learn how the stunt masters make Bond fights look real, editors cut trailers, music is composed and scripts are developed and storyboarded... then try it out yourself!

Bond School runs for 4 days from Tuesday 14 - Friday 17 April and is £15 per day:

Tuesday - Scripts and Storyboards: script and storyboarding with Kwame Lestrade; we take a scenario from a Bond film and together script a scene from it, then construct a storyboard using Comic Life. The workshop will run from 10-2pm followed by screening of a Bond classic in our Studio until 4pm.

Wednesday - Stunts: stunt workshop with Alasdair Monteith of the London Stunt School and friends. Alasdair will look at contrasting ways of arranging and filming fights, then after practising and filming some simple moves, we'll prepare and shoot a fight sequence based on a scene from a Bond film. Workshop from 10-2pm, then screening of a Bond classic in our Studio until 4pm.

Thursday - Editing: Our partners Film Education and PPC will take you through the process of cutting a trailer for a Bond release. PPC have made promotional trailers for Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, and we hope to be working with materials from a recent Bond film. Workshop from 10-2pm, followed by screening of a Bond classic in our Studio until 4pm.

Friday - Composing: The James Bond theme is the single constant and most recognisable ingredient in the Bond recipe. In this workshop we'll be working with partners Sibelius music and sound editing software to compose a soundtrack for a Bond sequence. No previous music experience is necessary, just a bit of imagination!

Brocolli season of Bond films at Filmhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland

Restored films for six of Sir Sean Connery's James Bond outings are to be shown at the Filmhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland, as part of a special season.

The digitally restored screenings of Connery's first six outings as the superspy, including Dr No, Goldfinger and From Russia With Love, are being shown in the Capital to mark the centenary of Albert R "Cubby" Broccoli's birth.

The producer was best known for producing the Bond films, and the Filmhouse has arranged the special "Broccoli, Cubby Broccoli" season to celebrate the anniversary.

The season runs from Friday, April 17, to Tuesday, May 19.

The Theatre is located on the delightful Two Sisters Lawn in the award winning gardens of Hever Castle in Kent, adjacent to the legendary Anne Boleyn Walk – the Castle was originally the home of the Boleyn family. The lawn is surrounded by some delightful flower beds including the famous ‘long border’ and an abundance of ornamental trees; it also contains the picturesque Two Sisters pond (and grotto) and a magnificent Tulip Tree.

As well as being a visual delight, the setting provides a natural auditorium with easy access to the theatre car park and the lakeside for those who prefer to picnic in view of the lake. For the others, the lawn itself provides a convenient and relaxing spot for that preshow picnic.
