Rachel Weisz 'extracts' husband 'James Bond' from NAIA

MANILA, Philippines

British actor Daniel Craig arrived in the country late Friday night, pulling off his arrival with such stealth that fans didn’t recognize him until he was about to board a car, a scene worthy of the man best known for playing James Bond.

He is here for a brief visit to wife Rachel Weisz, who is on location shooting for the Hollywood action thriller Bourne Legacy, and who pulled off the "extraction" of "James Bond" from the scene by managing to whisk him away in a car that no one noticed.

Craig arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on board Dragon Airlines flight KA931 from Hong Kong.

Wearing a black leather jacket with beret, and lugging only a handcarried bag, he immediately left the airport terminal after clearing immigration and customs formalities.

He was met by Rachel, who earlier in the day was filming some scenes at Terminal 3 of the airport.

She waited for him inside a Toyota Camry, and had even managed to sneak inside the terminal to go to the public restroom without being noticed by fans.

The couple proceeded to their hotel suite in Makati City.

Airport kibitzers were surprised when they saw the couple at the arrival area, about to board their car.

Craig’s weekend Manila visit had been the subject of speculation by local media but nobody knew his travel schedule until his mysterious arrival Saturday night, unnoticed even by airport authorities.

Bourne Legacy is the fourth installment of the Bourne series, and 40 percent of the movie is being shot in the country.

The Academy-winning Hollywood actress Weisz, who arrived last January 8, had been busy filming several scenes in Manila’s urban poor communities. On Friday she was filming an airport scene at the NAIA terminal 3.

Craig achieved international fame when chosen as the sixth actor to play the role of Bond, replacing Pierce Brosnan. His debut in Casino Royale was highly acclaimed and becomes the highest grossing in the series to date.
